Utilizing research to support school eye health programs
A research fund from VOSH/International was an opportunity to trigger a teachers-led school eye health program in Jordan, a country struggling with hosting refugees from neighboring countries.
The teachers training and providing low cost vision screening kits through a research fund opened the door for students to be screened and vision problems to be detected early. The project also created a referral pathway for spectacles delivery.
