World Sight Day would not be possible without the generous support of the Love Your Eyes Global Partners. We thank them for their unwavering commitment to eye care for everyone, everywhere.
THANK YOU TO OUR GLOBAL PARTNERS
PLAN YOUR CAMPAIGN
World Sight Day doesn’t come to life without YOU. Whatever taking action looks like to you – from hosting a vision screening to posting on social media – they are all part of working towards a world where everyone has eye care that is accessible, available and affordable.
TAKE THE GLOBAL CHALLENGE
The World Sight Day Global Challenge rallies individuals and organisations to bring eye care to more people — helping make World Sight Day a megaphone for eye care awareness and equity. This year’s Global Challenge takes eye care to the heart of decision making – parliaments, ministries and rooms where policy takes shape.
One Million Pledges of Support
Nearly everyone on the planet will experience an eye health issue in their lifetime, yet over a billion people still lack access to the services and treatments they need to see clearly. The good news? This is a solvable problem. But we can't do it without YOU.
Learn about the pledge that is demanding global leaders act now on eye health so everyone #LoveYourEyes.
EVERY STORY COUNTS
Everyone has an eye health story, and that story has power. Whether you're a glasses wearer, caregiver, or eye health professional, you have a unique perspective and a valuable insight into why everyone should love their eyes. By sharing your story, you're adding to a powerful movement. An anthology of real people, real stories and real reasons to #LoveYourEyes.
Photo Competition
Celebrating 10 years of photos.
The World Sight Day Photo Competition invites photographers from around the world — professionals and amateurs alike — to share images that celebrate the importance of eye care and the impact it can have when it is accessible, available and affordable.
About World Sight Day
On World Sight Day a spotlight is cast on the importance of eye care. Every October, on the second Thursday, the worlds’ attention is focused on what it means to have eye care that is accessible, available and affordable to all.
The noise created each year by campaigners around the world, has governments and those of influence listening like never before – recognizing that early intervention and regular eye health is critical to unlocking education opportunities and future economic potential.
