Sarah Beeching is the Founder and Executive Director of Oshun Partnership, a social enterprise committed to international development campaigning. Recent achievements include the delivery of the Africa Climate Summit (2023) for the Government of Kenya, leading to $26bn of announcements to support climate action across the continent. Sarah successfully campaigned for Gavi to roll out rabies vaccine and is part of technical advisory team delivering this commitment. She is a senior adviser for WHO on rabies, urban malaria and NTDs.
In 2021, Sarah negotiated Healthy Cities, Healthy People, launched by UN Habitat and WHO. Her work for the Global Partnership for Education, a World Bank Trust Fund, involved leading three replenishment campaigns, generating over $8bn in donor investments and over $100bn from developing countries. She led the Commonwealth Malaria Summit in 2018 and G8 Nutrition for Growth Summit in 2013 both of which mobilised over $4bn for their respective causes.
During her 15 years in the UK Government, Sarah led many international policy negotiations including as chief negotiator for development elements of the G20 London Summit, peace negotiator for Sierra Leone and Indonesian conflicts, and senior adviser to UNSG Ban Ki-moon, delivering $40bn of new commitments at the launch of Every Woman, Every Child (2010). Sarah is on the Advisory Board for the Royal Society of Arts, Board Chair of her alma mater and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
