Since 2015, IAPB has opened the World Sight Day Photo Competition each year to showcase how eye health, when accessible to all, has a tremendous impact on individuals, communities and economies.
We thank the thousands of photographers from around the world, both amateur and professional, who have shared what they see with us.
We invite you to view the collection of prize-winning and finalist photos.
2025 Winners
Professional Winner - Marijn Fidder
A close-up portrait of a young boy with vitiligo and a striking light-blue eye, looking directly into the camera against a blue background.

Amateur Winner - Darren James for The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ
This image shows an older woman named Makalika, wearing an eye patch after her eye surgery, standing smiling in a garden. Her son stands beside her with his arm around her shoulder, holding a small bouquet of flowers in his other hand. Both are laughing and appear joyful as they celebrate her restored sight.
