With over 40 years of teaching experience spanning from primary to secondary levels, I have dedicated a lifetime to education, shaping young minds and contributing to academic growth. Beyond the classroom, I was actively engaged in social work, awareness raising, and I strongly advocated for establishing democracy in Nepal.
For 30 years, I played a significant role in the Teachers' Association, contributing to the advancement of Nepal’s education system. While actively involved in the teachers' movement, I also contributed to advancing the rights and welfare of teachers across Nepal. My intellectual engagement extended to being a member of the Nepal Intellectual Council for three years, where I contributed to critical national discourse and policy dialogue.
I also served as Vice President of the Human Rights Protection Forum, Jhapa district, reinforcing commitment to justice and human dignity. Currently, I serve society in various capacities—as a member of Nepal Diabetes Association, Kathmandu, a member of Manohara Literary Society, a Managing Committee Member of Gandhi Adarsha Secondary School and the Chief Advisor of the Senior Citizen Society, Kadaghari.
I have been living with diabetes for the past 25 years. I am a proud father of five strong and independent daughters. My wife, Mrs. Bishnu Chapagain, has been the unwavering backbone of my health and overall success.
