Event FAQs
Delegates are responsible for their own visa applications and should apply through the Kenya immigration website: Your visit to Kenya begins here · Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Official invitation letters are issued after a successful 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE registration to support visa applications.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided to conference delegates during breaks on all three days of the event. Please ensure you identify any allergies or dietary requirements when registering.
There is no dress code for 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE. However, we’d encourage delegates to dress as they feel comfortable and recommend smart or smart-casual attire.
The currency in Kenya is the Kenyan Shilling (KES) and it is recommended to obtain Kenyan Shillings upon arrival. There are many places to exchange currency, including at the arrivals and immigration area of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Please be aware that some places, including taxis and smaller restaurants, only accept cash payments.
Nairobi enjoys a mild and comfortable climate in June.
- Daytime temperatures typically range from 22°C to 23°C (72–73°F).
- Evenings and early mornings can be cooler, around 11°C to 13°C (52–55°F), so a light jacket is recommended.
- June and July are part of the cool dry season, with minimal rainfall, though occasional light showers are possible.
We remain in close contact with health authorities in Kenya; their current advice confirms that travel to Nairobi and Kenya as a whole is safe. This assessment aligns with the official guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO).
Based on this advice, IN SIGHT LIVE will proceed as planned. We will continue to monitor the situation very closely and will immediately implement and communicate any updated travel or health guidance recommended by the Kenyan government and other authorities.
Once again, we will be livestreaming several elements of 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE. Plenary’s, some Member Engagement Group sessions, keynote speakers, lightning talks and other select sessions will be livestreamed and recorded for anyone to enjoy in their own time.
Livestreaming of the event will be available via our event app either on your mobile devise or web browser. Additionally, most of the livestreamed sessions are being recorded so you will be able to watch and share the content after the event.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to the need for cancellations. For delegates who are no longer able to attend 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE. Please email a written request to [email protected] stating your full name and registered email address.
