In her work, Katri aims to ensure that all people can live healthy lives, equity becomes a reality, and the power of inclusive partnerships is leveraged for more impact.

Katri is International Director of Impact and Advocacy at Light for the World, an NGO for disability inclusion and eye health, where she leads on organizational strategy and is responsible for institutional partnerships, advocacy, programme quality and systems change, impact and learning, technical advisory services, and global communications. She is a member of the supervisory board of Wemos, an NGO working on health justice, and on the advisory board of BMJ Public Health.

She previously worked at the German Federal Ministry of Health, where she was lead for the German G7 Presidency (health track) and health lead for G20. She has worked at the World Bank, where as a member of the leadership team she headed external relations (governance, fundraising, partnerships, and communications) for the Global Financing Facility for Women, Children and Adolescents (GFF). At Save the Children, a non-governmental organization with offices in 120 countries, she was a member of the global executive leadership team and headed global advocacy, policy, and campaigning.

Katri is Finnish by nationality. She is a mother of four, and is based in Berlin/Germany.
