Dr Choksey has made significant contributions to eye care and advocacy for people with Albinism through her foundation, which provides free ophthalmic services and aims to improve their quality of life. She has published several books, including works on numerology, and has received numerous awards for her contributions to ophthalmology and advocacy. Among her honors are the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear from the Kenyan President in 2012 and the Bari Bari Prize for outstanding Albinism Advocacy in 2016. Inspired by her parents’ values of humility and compassion, Dr. Choksey balances her roles as a clinician, advocate, and numerologist, while also authoring a book on parenting. Notably, during the 1998 American embassy bomb blast in Nairobi, she treated over 35 patients with ophthalmic injuries.
