Jude Stern leads the strategic knowledge agenda and team at the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) driving the transformation of global eye are through shared expertise. With two decades of experience in global eye care and international development, she specializes in knowledge brokering and innovation, to connect research, knowledge and practice to amplify collective impact.

Her current initiatives, in collaboration with her team, include:

• Creating essential digital data ad knowledge sharing platforms, notably the Vision Atlas and Knowledge Hub.
• Developing and delivering engaging, action-oriented, diverse conference programmes.
• Developing robust data and evidence frameworks to monitor global eye health progress.
• Leading the development of an evidence-based investment case for eye health.
• Facilitating collaboration among IAPB members and the broader network.
• Connecting leaders in AI and digital technology for eye care.

Jude’s leadership extends to her active participation in the ACO Research Committee, WHO Global Research Agenda, nAMD and DR Leadership Coalition, RAAB7.0, and the Community Eye Health Journal (CEHJ) Strategy Committees. Her prior experience includes serving as Director of Education at the Brien Holden Vision Institute Foundation, and as a clinical research optometrist and private practitioner in Sydney, Australia.
