Global Ambassador for the IAPB
The Duchess of Edinburgh is a full-time working member of the Royal Family, undertaking engagements on behalf of The King across the UK and Commonwealth while supporting a wide range of charities and organisations. She is passionate about eliminating avoidable blindness and serves as a Global Ambassador for IAPB, championing efforts to make quality eye care accessible to people around the world. Through her work with IAPB and organisations, The Duchess has visited communities across the Commonwealth to see first-hand the impact of efforts to prevent avoidable blindness, including in India, Qatar, Malawi and Bangladesh. She continues to use her platform to raise awareness of eye health and highlight the vital work of eye-health professionals and organisations internationally.
