A recipient of many prestigious awards, including Hooper Prize: Best Dissertation Public Health in Eye Care, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London 2022, and highly commended finalist, International Alumni of the Year, PIEoneer Awards 2024 UK. Academic awards in Nigeria include E.O Akinsete Best Candidate National Postgraduate Medical College (NPMCN) part II Examination 2012, Majekodunmi Award: Best dissertation NPMCN part II Examination 2012, Oyin Olurin Award: Best candidate NPMCN part I Examination 2009, Dr. Oteri has carved a niche for herself in the eye health sector.
Recently, she was appointed associate faculty at the Ariadne Lab Havard T.H Chan School of Public Health/ Bingham Children and Women’s Hospital and awarded a fully funded scholarship to the globally acclaimed Global Health Care Leaders Programme 2024-25 session at the prestigious Havard Medical School.
Currently, Dr. Oteri serves as National Coordinator at the National Eye Health Programme, Federal Ministry of Health, and Social Welfare, driving innovation and excellence for eye care services.
