With over a decade of professional experience, contributions span academia, government, and international organizations, including roles with the Chilean Ministry of Health, the University of Chile, and University College London. International experience includes work with the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs in New York, UNDP in Panama, and the WHO Western Pacific Office in the Philippines as a Consultant in Sensory Functions. Research focuses on social factors influencing outcomes for people with disabilities, combined with extensive expertise in public policy in sensory health, sustainable development, and evidence-based analysis. Current efforts at WHO concentrate on managing eye and vision, and ear and hearing care programmes to support regional member states at the Western Pacific Region.
