She has held a number of national roles which include President and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the College of Optometrists UK. She works in clinical practice as a Consultant Optometrist at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, UK and is a Visiting Consultant at Mater Dei Hospital, Malta.
