Caio Abujamra is an executive and entrepreneur in visual health in Brazil since 2019. After his father's passing, he assumed the presidency of the Suel Abujamra Institute, rescuing it from a severe financial crisis. Under his leadership, the Institute became Brazil’s largest provider of ophthalmic care for the SUS, quadrupling its service volume and earning global recognition, including acceptance into the World Association of Eye Hospitals (WAEH).

In 2024, he was named *Young System Leader* by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) for his transformative impact on visual health. He founded *Aldeia em Foco*, the largest Indigenous visual health initiative in Brazil, using AI, teleophthalmology, and portable equipment to provide care without requiring Indigenous people to leave their territories. In 2024 alone, the project conducted over 10,000 consultations, donated 6,000 eyeglasses, and performed 280+ surgeries.

As co-founder of *Juntos pela Visão*, an alliance of multiple NGOs dedicated to expanding access to visual health in Brazil, he has spearheaded innovative, high-impact initiatives that revolutionized eye care, establishing the country as a global reference in overcoming barriers to visual health."
