As an employee of WCO and someone who received early intervention from an optometrist at the age of two, I understand the importance of having my child’s eyes tested. Keeping her eyes healthy will set her up for success in her development and her future.
At the age of two, a community program called Parents as First Teachers had a representative stop by and was able to help my mother catch a suspected sight issue. I was then referred to an optometrists where I was diagnosed with anisometropic amblyopia, which could have been gone undetected. Because of this intervention and treatment, my success in school was not deterred. Now that I have a 3 year old daughter, I know the importance of getting her eyes checked.
