Asociación para Evitar la Ceguera en México partnered with us as our Global Event Host and warmly welcomed us to Mexico City. Hosting both the IAPB Board and the Work Group Day at their hospital in the vibrant neighbourhood of Coyoacán, Mexico City.

Global Strategic Event Partner – The Fred Hollows Foundation

The Fred Hollows Foundation has been a strong supporter and member of the IAPB for 15 years and is proud to be the Strategic Partner at 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE, Mexico City.

The Fred Hollows Foundation is an international development organisation working in over 25 countries to reduce the increasing burden of avoidable blindness and vision loss. Under its new strategy, The Foundation is committed to delivering bold eye health solutions that transform lives. The Foundation believes a stronger systems change approach at the national and global level will generate the broad and sustained transformation required to benefit people living with preventable vision loss.

The Foundation will scale programs to tackle the key barriers to eye health, including chronic workforce shortages across all areas of health, especially in remote regions, and the availability, quality, and use of eye health data.

A key shift for The Foundation will also be to focus on providing services across the continuum of care through increased vision loss prevention activities and clinical vision rehabilitation in addition to the traditional eye health treatment approaches.
