Innovation Showcase at 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE

Applications closed on 17 March 2026

Innovation is reshaping the future of eye health. Through advances in diagnostics, clinical and surgical technologies, training tools, data systems, and technology-enabled community service delivery models, innovation is helping us reach further, work smarter, and close gaps in access to care. But innovation only creates impact when it is accepted, adopted, integrated, and scaled.

At 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE, Kenya, we are creating space to do exactly that.

Led by the IAPB Technology for Access Member-led Work Group, the Innovation Showcase will spotlight solutions that are strengthening health systems, removing barriers to care, and accelerating progress towards 2030 In Sight.

We welcome applications from all types of eye health technologies, at any stage of development. If you are developing, or have developed, a solution that tackles real-world access challenges in eye care, we invite you to apply.

Why Apply?

The Innovation Showcase is more than a display. It is a platform for connection and action.

Selected innovations will:

  • Be showcased at a global convening of leaders, policymakers, practitioners, funders, and industry partners.
  • Connect with potential collaborators and adopters.
  • Gain visibility across the global eye health community.
  • Contribute to accelerating progress towards 2030 In Sight.

This is your opportunity to move beyond conversation into collaboration and impact.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to:

  • IAPB member organisations
  • IAPB Valued Suppliers
  • Other organisations and innovators working in eye health

Please note that only two submissions per organisation are allowed under each application category.

If your innovation is selected, at least one representative must register and pay the applicable fee (with early bird offer) to attend 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE in Nairobi. Please note that travel and accommodation costs are not covered.

Application Categories

To ensure fair review, innovations should be submitted under one of two categories:

Early-Stage Innovations
Concepts, prototypes, pilots, or early clinical or academic technologies. These may have initial validation but limited real-world deployment.
Later Stage Innovations
Near-commercial or commercially available solutions with evidence of implementation, adoption, or scale.

All applications will be assessed in line with the IAPB Technology for Access framework, with consideration given to stage of development.

What Selected Innovations Receive

Selected applicants will be offered:

  • A Rapid-Fire case study presentation on 4 June 2026.
  • A dedicated space for live demonstration during the event.
  • A feature within the official 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE event app.

The Showcase will also compliment ongoing conversations across the Accelerate stream of the programme, connecting innovation to workforce, policy, financing, and systems integration.

How to Apply

All applications must be submitted through the IAPB website.

The review process follows the Technology for Access framework to ensure innovations at different stages are assessed fairly and transparently.

Before applying, please read the full Submission Guidelines.
