2030 IN SIGHT LIVE Kenya 2026 will bring together leaders, innovators, practitioners, philanthropies, businesses, researchers, advocates, and policymakers to accelerate progress towards the 2030 In Sight Strategy.​

The 2030 In Sight Action Café invites submissions that highlight how eye health is being integrated into health systems and development agendas, showcasing practical advancements, lessons learned, and innovations driving meaningful change.

The Action Café Submission Contributions will: ​

  • Showcase progress, inspire and guide adaptation or scale-up of successful approaches.​
  • Provide real-world examples to enrich discussions across Act, Allocate, and Accelerate programme streams. ​
  • Strengthen the evidence base for advocacy, fundraising, and policy ahead of the Global Summit for Eye Health.​ ​

Abstract submission deadline was 2 February. Submitters will be notified of the outcome in March.​

We invite submissions for Rapid Fire and Poster Presentations that spotlight practical action and innovation.

For 2026, the submission categories are guided by the Value of Vision framework: Act, Allocate, Accelerate.

1. Transforming Lives Through Policy Integration
Evidence based advocacy for national commitments and integrated eyecare.
2. Breaking Barriers
Advancing equity, inclusion, and access, especially in vulnerable or crisis settings.
3. Data for 2030 In Sight
Monitoring frameworks for shared accountability and progress tracking.
SUBGROUP 2 - ALLOCATE
4. Sustainable Financing
Cost analysis, economic impact assessments, and innovative funding models.
5. Cross Sector Collaborations
Cross sector partnerships bridging public, private, non-profit, and tech sectors for integrated eye health delivery.
6. Workforce Capability Development
Tackling workforce shortages, distribution, retention, and quality challenges.
SUBGROUP 3 - ACCELERATE
7. Progress in Effective Coverage
Advances in effective coverage of presbyopia, refractive error, and cataract surgery.
8. Building Momentum
Campaigns or initiatives that mobilized political, public, or financial support.
9. Technology for Access
AI, digital tools & technology transforming service delivery & uptake of eye care.
